Clean Drywall Installation
Before these mud plates were introduced, drywall applications were limited to surface-mount installations because a hole saw leaves an edge too rough to flush-mount. Mud Plates solve this by covering that edge with a rigid collar that becomes the finished opening. The perforated flange muds into the surrounding wall, so the outlet sits flush with no surface mount and no trim ring. The result is a seamless finish that looks built-in.
Fixed and Adjustable Versions
The fixed version handles 1/8" mud thickness, while the adjustable version accommodates 1/8" to 3/4"—simply twist the middle section to set your exact depth. Choose the version that best fits your wall-finishing approach.
Multiple Outlet Configurations
Available for single, double, and duplex Prado Unifit outlets. Single uses one 2" cutout; double uses two 2" holes spaced 1-13/16" apart; duplex uses two holes joined into one continuous opening, with cuts connecting the tops and bottoms of the holes. All use the same 2" diameter specification.
Self-Contained Installations Only
Mud Plates are designed exclusively for Prado Unifit self-contained outlet installations and are not compatible with electrical back boxes. The Self-Contained Junction Box Cap makes for the easiest installation and permits wiring in series.
ETL Listed for Safety
All versions are ETL Listed to UL 498 (US) and Certified to CSA C22.2 No. 42 (Canada), meeting North American electrical safety standards for drywall-mounted outlets.
