What's Included
This kit features multiple products: (1) a Docking Drawer Blade in-drawer outlet, (2) and a Safety Interlock Outlet with Blade Limit Switch. While our Blade Series in-drawer outlets come standard with an interlocking thermostat that cuts power to the outlet when surrounding temperatures exceed 120° F, the inclusion of the Safety Outlet with Blade Limit Switch offers an additional layer of safety and added peace of mind for powering heat-generating appliances inside the drawer. Not only can you rest easy knowing that your appliances are powered off whenever the drawer is closed, but the combination of these ETL-Listed products satisfies CEC requirements for AC outlets within the cabinet for our friends in Canada.
How It Works
Installing your Docking Drawer outlet is easy. Our Blade Series in-drawer outlets can be installed into drawers of every kind using only basic tools, and require only the standard 2” of space behind the drawer box (or as little as 1.25” if using one of our minimal space installation techniques). Download installation resources to reference or share with your installer.
Included as an additional layer of safety for powered appliance pullout drawer applications, simply install the Safety Interlock Outlet into a standard single gang junction box within 4' of your powered drawer. Then mount the Blade Limit Switch to the Docking Drawer Blade Series outlet to detect the drawer position and de-energize the outlet and all connected appliances when the drawer is closed.
All Docking Drawer Blade Series Outlets are listed to UL 962a and CSA 22.2 #21, and the Safety Interlock Outlet with Blade Limit Switch is listed to UL 498 and CSA 22.2 #42. *The Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) has the final say on whether an installation meets the requirements of the Canadian Electrical Code.
