Designed for in-cabinet appliance garages, this product adds peace of mind when powering small appliances that are concealed by a cabinet door when not in use. The interlock switch connector mounts in the corner of your cabinet and will sense the door’s position, cutting power to the interlock outlet (and connected device) when the cabinet door is closed. Gone are the days of wondering if you turned that coffee pot off!
Simple to Install
This product features 2 parts: one 20 amp Safety Interlock Outlet (a single gang electrical outlet with one NEMA 5-15 receptacle) and one interlock switch connector. Simply fit the interlock outlet into a standard junction box (wall outlet) for a quick and hassle-free setup. Then, with a screwdriver and the two mounting screws that come inside your package, install the Corner Mount Mounting Bracket to the corner, behind the hinged side of your cabinet door(s). Viola! You just leveled up the safey of your appliance garage.
Smart Technology
The switch utilizes sensors and mechanisms that detect when the door begins to close. When this happens, the door will push against the switch which promptly cuts off power to the Safety Interlock Outlet and any connected devices. The Corner Mount Limit Switch has a low-profile design, so it does not interfere with the space needed for your small appliances.
Code Compliant
This 20 amp product aligns with CEC requirements for appliance garages in Canada, and is listed to UL 498 and CSA 22.2 #42. Additionally, it holds ETL Listing certification for use in both the United States and Canada, attesting to its safety and compliance. For those in the United States, the 15 amp Safety Interlock Outlet with Corner Mount Limit Switch also aligns with the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards for the United States. The Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) has the final say on whether an installation meets the requirements of the Canadian Electrical Code.
