Blade Series Limit Switch mounts to any 15 amp Docking Drawer Blade Series outlet to detect the drawer position and de-energize the connected Docking Drawer outlet (as well as the Safety Interlock Outlet itself) when the drawer is closed.

*Only for use with Blade Series in-drawer outlets. For general applications, such as cabinet doors, choose a General Purpose Limit Switch.

Smart De-Energizing Function

Every Docking Drawer outlet comes equipped with an integrated safety feature that automatically de-energizes the outlet when ambient temperatures exceed 120°F. In applications where heat-generating appliances are used in enclosed cabinet spaces, such as bathroom vanities or kitchen appliance garages, pair the Safety Interlock Outlet with Blade Limit Switch for an additional layer of safety or, if you’re in Canada, to comply with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) for AC outlets within the cabinet.

This outlet safety switch offers peace of mind by guaranteeing that your curling iron or straightener is always turned off if left on during the hectic rush of your morning routine. When closing your drawer, you can enjoy the added peace of mind that the outlets powering your hot tools and appliances are securely powered off, ensuring a safer and more worry-free living environment for you and your family.

Compliant and Simple Installation

The 15 Amp Safety Interlock Outlet is a single gang electrical outlet featuring one NEMA 5-15 receptacle and one low voltage safety interlock switch connector. The outlet fits into a standard junction box, so it is quick and easy to install. Installing the Blade Limit Switch onto the rear mounting bracket of the Blade outlet takes just a few minutes, simply requiring a screwdriver and the included screws to attach and then adjust as needed to allow the Blade Limit Switch to move in and out to the point where it would need to de-energize.

The system complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) for the United States as well as the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC)*. It is also ETL Listed for use in both the United States and Canada. If you are looking for an outlet that meets the CEC requirement for appliance garages, please shop for the 20 amp Safety Interlock Outlet with Blade Limit Switch or the 20 amp Safety Interlock Outlet with Corner Mount Limit Switch.

*The Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) has the final say on whether an installation meets the requirements of the Canadian Electrical Code.

Enhanced Protection with Safety Interlock Switches

Docking Drawer's commitment to safety extends beyond traditional measures with the integration of non-contact interlock technology in our Blade Series Limit Switch. This advanced, patented safety limit switch ensures a seamless and secure disconnection of power without the need for physical contact.

Ideal for environments where heat-generating appliances are in use, such as kitchen appliance garages, vanities, or workshop spaces, this technology enhances protection and adds peace of mind. The non-contact interlock system acts as a vigilant guardian, automatically cutting off power whenever the drawer is closed.

I installed one outlet with the blade switch inside my kitchen cabinet for my microwave, but for some reasons it wouldn’t perform properly. I called customer service and they were incredibly helpful and fast, they sent me a new outlet right away and everything is working great! Thank you

Safety Interlock

The safty interlock should be 15-20 amp. config with maximum 2400 watts @ 120Volts for more purposes like when it is instaled in the bathroom for hairdryer that pull usualy 1500 watts and may be more, the 20 amps. config give more range for the appliances connected between the specifications of the devise insted the 15 amps in the bathroom, it have more chances to work the most offten times near the maximum specs of the device (The safty interlock). In Canada, in the province of Québec whith our Code the config 15-20 sould be great for the appliances on the kitchin counter, and in accordance with our Code for the plugs instaled in less of 1.5 meters from the sink. Here it has to be 15-20 amps config. Sorry for my english, i'm french! If you have any questions, you could callme at 514 726 2096 or rpelect@hotmail.com
