Stop appliance fires before they start with our Fire Guard Disconnect with Smoke & Heat Sensor. A more customizable alternative to our 15 amp or 20 amp Fire Guard Outlet, this solution offers the ability to connect and protect more devices in a single application by integrating with a double or triple gang junction box (with or without GFCI), and can be GFCI-configured in two different ways.

Proactive Protection

A Consumer Reports analysis of National Fire Incident Reporting System (NFIRS) showed more than half of all house fires throughout a seven-year span had appliances –like dishwashers, refrigerators and microwaves– listed as the primary cause. Our family of Fire Guard Outlets was designed to protect your home against these common fire culprits and proactively reduce the risk of costly fire and smoke damage. At the first sign of smoke or rapidly rising heat, the device will sound an alarm, light up red and immediately cut power to the outlet and connected devices BEFORE a fire breaks out. This added layer of safety protects the home and adds peace of mind in an increasingly automated world.

Customizable Solution

The Fire Guard Disconnect with Smoke & Heat Sensor requires more assembly, but offers more application flexibility. Install into a double or triple gang junction box, with or without GFCI, and it can be GFCI-configured in two different ways: wired in series with GFCI or on a GFCI circuit breaker.

Versatile Application

Use the Fire Guard Disconnect with Smoke & Heat Sensor as an added layer of safety with dishwashers, gas dryers, audio/visual closets, 3D printers, microwaves, lithium battery charging stations, grow lights and other devices that are left powered on while unattended. This can also be used in infrequently visited areas of the home such as crawl spaces, attics and basements where larger equipment is often stowed, powered and unmonitored.

Code-Compliant

Safety is at the core of everything we do at Docking Drawer, which is why we rigorously test all outlets and obtain the appropriate recognition and safety listings. The Fire Guard Disconnect holds Electrical Testing Laboratories (ETL) approval as an Interlock device, emphasizing its safety and functionality. However, the smoke sensor part of the device is not listed to any UL or CSA standard. It is intended for supplementary protection and does not take the place of an approved smoke alarm or detector, as required by code.
