The Safety Interlock Disconnect with Corner Mount Limit Switch is rated for both 15 and 20 amp applications and is our most customizable solution, with the ability to integrate into a 2 or 3-gang junction box to disconnect and de-energize up to 4 devices. When the cabinet door contacts the corner mount switch, it will trigger the disconnect to de-energize or energize the outlet and connected devices, depending on which corner mount limit switch is used.

Added Layer of Safety

Designed for in-cabinet appliance garages, the Safety Interlock Disconnect can be installed with up to two receptacles, allowing connection of up to four devices. When the appliance garage door closes, concealing your toaster, coffee machine, juicer, mixer, etc., the corner-mounted limit switch detects the door state and de-energizes or energizes your devices and the outlets depending on which limit switch is used to minimize risks.

Project Flexibility

This is a more flexible alternative to our 15 amp or 20 amp Safety Interlock Outlet with Corner Mount Limit Switch solutions. While planning and assembly is required, this product offers the ability to connect more devices (up to 4), plus the flexibility to pair with a 15 or 20 amp standard or GFCI outlet.

Smart Technology

Docking Drawer offers two types of limit switches: one that turns OFF power when depressed and another that turns ON power when depressed. These switches detect when a door is closing. As the door pushes against the switch, it either cuts off or initiates power to the Safety Interlock Outlet and any connected devices. The Corner Mount Limit Switch features a low-profile design, ensuring it doesn’t interfere with the space needed for your small appliances.

Code Compliant

This product adheres to the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards for the United States, and is listed to UL 498 and CSA 22.2 #42. Additionally, it holds ETL Listing certification for use in both the United States and Canada, attesting to its safety and compliance. The Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) has the final say on whether an installation meets the requirements of the Canadian Electrical Code.

Okay so far, plastic frame should be steel

Just installed the switch, but the plastic frame that the face plate attaches to has brass (?) threads for the faceplate screws and mine immediately stripped, so now it’ll have to figure out a different way to attach the faceplate. For the price, steel would probably have been more durable. I also don’t love the stab connectors for security, pigtails would be more robust but the screw doesn’t come out far enough.

Chris, thanks for the important feedback on the disconnect product. First off, we’ll replace the unit due to the stripped cover plate mounting screw. I’ll investigate using steel in the next batch. As for the stab, they connectors should be secure as they have an internal locking plate that secures the wire. I’ll send you some pictures of the locking mechanism. Thanks for the feedback. Scott
