Could you benefit from faster charging USB-C outlets? Hear Docking Drawer Founder, Scott Dickey, on why and when you may benefit most from our fastest-charging 65W outlet–and when it might make sense to save a little money and opt for the 30W configuration.

“When you are trying to decide between the 30 Watt and the 65 Watt, what it really boils down to is what devices are you charging and how many of them do you have. Whether it's 30 Watt or 65 Watt, there are two USB ports, and the 65 or the 30 Watt are shared between the two. If you always have more than one device plugged in, the 65Watt is a good choice if you want those devices to charge as quickly as possible. On the other hand, if you're somebody that you just have one thing plugged in, in that case, you can save a little bit of money and use the 30 watts. If you have time, no big deal. If you want it to go fast, then you either would want to unplug one or upgrade to the 65 watts. So it's really just a matter of how quickly do you need to charge things and how many things do you need to charge. That's going to drive your decision between 30 watts and 65.”
