Customer Engagement Representative

We are the creator and market leader of in-drawer electrical outlets. Our patented and simple-to-specify solutions offer a reliable way to add movable drawer outlets safely while keeping your spaces organized. Our brand, our marketing and our e-commerce strengths are as dynamic as our business. We are seeking a passionate and strategic individual to manage customer engagements online and over the phone. We need someone who will embrace a constantly-evolving brand, marketing, and e-commerce strategy while staying true to the fundamental promise and values that have guided Docking Drawer since its inception 5 years ago.

The Customer Engagement Representative (CER) is a key role responsible for proactively seeking out customer engagements, nurturing relationships, and ultimately converting engagements to sales. It is critically important that no customer ever leaves with a question unanswered, or a need unfulfilled. We may not be able to satisfy 100% of our customers’ requirements, but we need to exhaust every possibility of trying. Further, the CER must be able to identify potential high volume opportunities and either cultivate them or refer them to others for cultivation. Finally, we encourage and empower the CER to make on the spot decisions about discounts, free shipping, and other promotions to convert the customer to a sale. We value happy, satisfied customers over profit every day of the week.

The individual will need to have experience with the many facets of managing and executing strategies that align with the needs of the company. Importantly, this role will require the right application of skills to manage projects to completion as an individual and as a collaborator. So the right candidate will need to be brilliant in their ability to manage a broad range of diverse projects with ambiguity.

Pillars of the Role:

  • Project management skills - able to manage multiple projects successfully to completion.
  • Build positive relationships with clients while proactively maintain a high quality customer engagements
  • Deliver new business opportunities for Docking Drawer each week and track larger scale and longer duration opportunities for Docking Drawer.
  • Maintain Docking Drawer engagement tools and resources.
  • Aptitude for understanding basic construction and electrical terms.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Build positive relationships with clients while proactively maintaining quality customer engagements such as:

  • Engage with customers via inbound and outbound phone calls
  • Communicate with customers via chats that typically turn into phone calls.
  • Engage with customers on Social Media
  • Be the face of our brand
  • Deliver the highest levels of customer service
  • Accessible, responsive, outgoing, curious
