Sometimes it's hard to believe that just five years ago there virtually were no in-drawer electrical outlets. When Docking Drawer began, we created a brand new product to help solve the growing issue of cord-clutter in a smart, simple and safe way.
When you create a brand new product there's always some uncertainty about whether it will catch on. In the first year, there was a lot of excitement about what we had to offer. Our in-drawer outlets were the newest thing in the home renovation market. Many people wanted to try them out in a project or two to see how they would help keep countertops clear while simultaneously charging multiple electronic devices.
Our in-drawer outlets quickly grew from a fad to a trend. Homeowners started requesting us by name when planning any new home or home renovation projects. Commercial builders and new apartment complexes started includingDocking Drawer outlets. Their new tenants loved the added organizational benefits our outlets provide, and commercial builders love that our products comply with even thestrictest building codes, and areADA Compliant when installed correctly. Docking Drawer in-drawer electrical outlets have been added to corporate office buildings, locker rooms, conference rooms, hotels and even a yacht! They are so easy to specify that they can fit into virtually any project.
Today, Docking Drawer in-drawer electrical outlets are a new standard feature in homes and offices.
Not only are our outlets available in the US, we've also expanded internationally to Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. We often get feedback that people can't believe what they did to efficiently charge or power their devices before having our in-drawer outlets in their homes.
This year we released our new Blade and Blade Duo charging outlets - our easiest outlets to specify ever. They come in just one size that is smaller and adjustable to fit into most any project you have. We love seeing all the different ways people utilize our products, we even created an Idea Library on our website to share these ideas with others.
From fad, to trend, to standard, sometimes it's hard to believe it's only been five years that have gotten us to this point. And we have no plans to slow down now! We'll be attending our 5thKitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) this February 19-21, 2019 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Make sure you come see us atBooth #SL3823, we're excited to show you some new solutions that expand Docking Drawer even further!
